Sonderwunsch Porsche 911 Dakar: Last Tribute with Custom Design

After the 2,500 units promised and already manufactured, Porsche says goodbye to the 911 Dakar with a one-off in which the Sonderwunsch department has participated

Without any, any fan of the motor world was tremendously surprised by Lamborghini’s announcement with the Huracán Sterrato, a true supercar transformed into a crossover to make forays into dirt tracks, a move that perhaps in some way overshadowed another supercar that it also made. this twist of the script: the Porsche 911 Dakar.

The difference is that when just a few days before Porsche presented the 911 Dakar perhaps the surprise was not so huge, and the German brand already had a 911 prepared for dirt with which they precisely obtained their first absolute victory in the Rally Paris-Dakar in its 1984 edition. The 911 Dakar was born then to pay tribute to that iconic 911 and it also did so under a limited edition of 2,500 units that have already been produced, so the brand now wants to say goodbye with a unique version in the world.

As you may know, Porsche has the department Special request where they are responsible for conveying the individual and exclusive requests of the most demanding clients and this latest 911 Dakar has passed through here, since it is the order made by an anonymous collector of sports cars. Without a doubt, it is a very special last tribute and one that is likely not to be particularly cheap, although I think the future owner will care little about the latter.

This very special Porsche 911 Dakar has received an exclusive paint job in three shades. As you can see, the upper half of the body is painted in yellow Signal while the lower half of the body has been painted in Gentian blue metallic; These two areas are divided with a blue line whose tone has been called Lampedusa blue in honor of the Italian Mediterranean island of the same name. To this we must add the wheels in Signal yellow and the edge in Lampedusa blue, the latter also present as a decorative ring on the Matrix LED headlights. The last contrast comes from the black color applied to the running boards and front and rear stainless steel protectors.
