Three units of the Cybercab will travel from the United States to Europe next week so that Tesla fans in the old continent can also see it in person.
If you live in Europe and were eager to see the most innovative vehicle that Tesla has presented to date, you are in luck. The North American manufacturer has just announced that Cybercab will start a European Tour starting next week thus allowing fans of the brand and electric mobility in general to contemplate in person the exciting future that awaits us.
For this, Tesla has selected some of its main Stores on the continent, located in Germany, France, the United Kingdom, the Netherlands, Sweden and Norway. Which means that, unfortunately, from what it seems, the Cybercab is not going to arrive in Spain, at least for the moment. Fingers crossed that maybe he’ll do it at a later date.
The European Cybercab Tour will begin practically simultaneously in Berlin, London and Paris. In Berlin it will be exhibited in the Tesla Store located in the Mall of Berlin from November 22 to December 8, 2024. In London from November 20, also until December 8, in the Tesla Store in the Westfield Shopping Center . While in Paris the chosen place is the Tesla Store Paris Madeleine, where it will be displayed from November 23 to December 8. Tesla requires prior registration through this link we understand that to avoid crowds.
Subsequently, these same three units of the Cybercab will be transferred to the Tesla stores in Amsterdam, Stockholm and Oslo, where it will also be displayed from December 14 until the end of the year. The North American manufacturer carried out a similar European Tour this year with its electric pickup, the Cybertruck, although on that occasion it was present in a greater number of locations around Europe, including Spain.
This is the Tesla robotaxi
As we already told you here in HighMotor After its presentation last October, the Cybercab is a fully autonomous two-seater vehicle, which completely dispenses with a steering wheel and pedals. Although it can also be purchased as any model from the manufacturer’s current range, Tesla’s main intention with this new model is to offer an Uber-style robotaxis service so that when we need to move from one point to another in the city we can request from the Tesla application for mobile devices that a Cybercab come pick us up wherever we are.
However, for this to be possible, Tesla’s fully self-driving system must first prove that it is sufficiently reliable. Something that the company trusts will be achieved in the next two or three years. Tesla will also have to face the current legislation in each of the countries in this matter, since it will need to have prior approval from local regulators before being able to put the first fleets of Cybercabs on the streets.
